Spring is (Not) Here!

More Snow!!!

I actually got to work early, but I couldn't get in! The snow drifts were too heavy. So, I decided to drive around for a bit until our maintenance man could shovel some of it out

Thought I’d check out how the fudge shops have been holding up so far this “Spring.” A view from just inside one of my shops. And yes, there is a road on the other side of this snow pile

Market St. – the snow plows went right to work and plowed the roads, but the high winds were really blowing!

A view from the bottom of Grand Hill – I’m sure all of the new summer employees who arrived on the island a couple of days ago are thrilled with this weather!

  1. Winter is hanging on just too long now. By the time my husband and I come to visit it will surely look differently. Time for the spring flowers to appear. Let’s hope your snow melts quickly and then let it be gone, but I do love your photos and seeing it in an entirely different way. Hurry up warmer weather for all of us!

  2. Susan Kocevar

Hi my name is Susan. I live in LakeAnn,MI just 15 min from Traverse City,MI. My Mother (Margret) almost left us forever.. The doctors at U of M hospital said she would not walk out of it in 2010 summer and fall. She not only walked out of it one thime it was 3 times.. She always says “strong as bull”. She has always wanted to come to he Island when you are having the lilac festives. Could you please give me some information on the Lilac Festival and also other attraction. I would love to to rent a place or stay in a hotel for the weekend or during the week.. I appreciate your time.

If not possible to get the information over the email I can always give u my address for brochures to be sent… Thank you so very much my Mother is still with her family and now as a daughter I want to do this so badly.

  3. I’d imagine all that white would be pretty shocking to “summer” employees! Especially those who define summer like I do-when temperatures top one hundred by 6:00 in the morning. Poor things!
